A three-year capital development plan jointly funded by the Agence Française de Développement, the European Union, AusAID and New Zealand has given the College excellent practical training facilities. These include 6 classroom/workshops, 3 vessels, a full-size ship's lifeboat, a fire-fighting complex, a cargo-handling system (working derricks, masts & MacGregor hatch), a marine propulsion system on shore, a jetty and pontoons. During 2008 we have been able to add multimedia projectors and computers in the classrooms to enable better use of IT by our Instructors. We have also been able to install a Transas simulator to allow us to integrate realistic exercises and scenarios into the curriculum.
Accommodation is available for up to 60 students.
